About Our Team

Kendra Brodin, Founder and CEO

Because I have the heart of a social worker and the mind of a lawyer, I’m able to listen deeply and provide practical solutions for attorneys and their law firms in career and professional development areas such as leadership, career satisfaction, time and stress management, work/life balance, and conflict resolution. I also teach a variety of Continuing Legal Education courses on those topics to firms and other legal organizations across the country.

As the Director of Career and Professional Development at the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, I support students and alumni as they develop themselves professionally and personally for the practice of law. It is my joy to help them find meaningful positions that bring out their best qualities and attributes.

I also maintain a limited and exclusive executive coaching and consulting practice focused on helping lawyers experience both professional and personal success.

Prior to my work at the law school and with private clients, I practiced civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution, helping individuals and organizations in conflict find resolution and common ground. With my mix of in-the-trenches experience, strategic thinking, deep insight and empathetic candor, I educate, motivate and inspire my clients to forge massive results.

I’m a member of the American Bar Association, the National Association of Women Lawyers, Minnesota Women Lawyers, and the Minnesota State Bar Association, where I am the Chairperson of the new Committee 36 program, an innovative initiative and model for bar associations across the country who are seeking new ways to support their newest attorneys. I am Co-Chairperson of the MSBA Life & the Law Committee and Assistant Chairperson of the MSBA Women in the Legal Profession Committee.

I hold a masters degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from the University of Minnesota School of Law, and I completed my executive coaching training through the internationally-renown Institute for Life Coach Training. I also serve on the Board of Trustees of the Mission Investment Fund of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, as well as in several other volunteer capacities in my community.

Currently, I live in St. Paul, Minnesota with my husband, Rev. Ryan Brodin, and our two young daughters. When I’m not serving my clients, I spend my time with family and friends, playing the piano and organ professionally, enjoying good food, wine and chocolate, and taking trips to the family cabin on a northern Minnesota lake.
